To Mr. Morton's family,
I was blessed to have had him as my science teacher. I have thought of him with gratitude many times over the years. He made learning science fun, had a great passion for teaching and sharing his faith. I will always appreciate his kindness, patience and his positive attitude. I really enjoyed his class and the early morning class that was held also. Many prayers and sympathies to your family. Thank you for sharing him with 1000's of students.

Mr. Morton was a great teacher, one of the best in the school, if not the best. His Christian faith was pasted on to many of us. He was a witness just by example.

Mr. Morton had a profound effect on me loving the sciences. Besides all the things he taught us I will remember him reading the Christmas story before Christmas break. An inspiration of what excellent teachers should be like.

Mr. Morton was one of my all time favorite teachers. I use some of his lesson ideas I remember from 7th grade science in my science classes still.

My deepest and heartfelt sympathies to the family. I never had him as a teacher, he retired the year before, but he was still active in the Roseville tennis program some time after, he was a great steward to the game and it showed in his professional successes. Having lived across the street we would bond over that love of the game from time-to-time. The Kelzer household again extends our condolences; he was a shining example of a person making lifelong impacts on those around him.

Mr. Morton (as we known when he was my 9th grade science teacher at Capitol View Jr High) was my inspiration to be come a teacher myself. During my first year teaching, I visited him at Kellogg and told him about my career choice. He was gratified to know that he had such a profound effect. Perhaps others told him about what a positive influence he was on their lives - I hope so.
Thank you Mr. Morton for being a great human being!

What a great guy and great friend Dan was. I played tennis with a lot of different people and he was one of my favorites. I remember well and cherish all the good hours of fun, we enjoyed on the court in Puerto Vallarta. He will be deeply missed.

Dan was a wonderful father, teacher, friend, Jesús follower. His music and faithfulness at our church was something we could always count on. We loved Dan and will continue to pray for his family, each one of them is special to us.

I joined Roseville Area High School science department in 1996. Never was there a kinder or gentler soul. He was a great mentor and friend.

He was such a kind, wonderful teacher. Loved his "Mortonville" way of taking on the day. So sorry to hear of his passing.
