Mr. Leigh gave me my first shot in music when I was in grades 5-6 in Illinois. He let me in band as a percussionist on a probationary status because I didn't pass the readiness exam. I quickly became a favorite because I caught on so fast. He was one of the reasons I became a music teacher! RIP Mr. Leigh! I'm sure you have left quite a legacy!
