Age 92 Died January 22 in Burnsville. Caring, always encouraging to others, devoted, and immediately ready for the next challenge, the next possibility, the next fun time. Born in Superior, WI, and adopted by William and Sarah (Hyland) Bartelt. Graduated h.s. class valedictorian; worked at Geraghty's store and Montgomery Ward in St. Paul. Married Augie Hinrichs in 1942. Augie re-enlisted after WWII; stationed in Tampa. In 1950, he was Missing in Action in Korea; she took Judy and Jim to Rsmt to wait for him to return. He never did, and she didn't know what happened until she met him again in heaven. Dorothy was a single Mom before there was such a term, kept house for her uncle, took many leadership roles at St. John's Lutheran Church in Rsmt, worked fulltime at First State Bank of Rsmt, and, in 1961, took up the job of payroll supervisor for Rsmt Schools; retired 1985. Preceded in death by husband August H. Hinrichs, Jr.; siblings Lloyd Bartelt, Lois Lomas. Survived by daughter Judith Pinke; son James (Jackie) Hinrichs; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; siblings Arlene Lewis, Allen Bartelt; cousin Helyn Duff. Memorial Service Saturday January 26 at 3 PM at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 12650 Johnny Cake Ridge Road, Apple Valley; visitation starting at 2 PM. Followed at 4:30 by sandwich buffet at American Legion Post #65 in Rsmt. Arrangements by Cremation Society of Minnesota. Memorials to American Legion Post #65 or
