Obituary Condolences

Age 76 of Big Pine Lake- Finlayson, Mn, formerly of St. Paul Was reunited in Heaven to be with his Father, Mother, Brother and Sister. He passed away on 12-28-12, surrounded by his loving family-children James, Judy (Erickson), and Jeffrey, Joan from his first marriage; his wonderful grandchildren Angela Hoernemann (Erickson), Nathan Prill, Marissa Prill, Niccole Prill and great-grandchild Morgan and his loving and caring wife of 38 years Susan. He graduated from the U of M in Parks and Recreation Administration and was a 35 year employee in Parks and Recreation for the City of St. Paul, with 15 of those years as Superintendent of Recreation Programs. He was involved in many organizations, St. Paul Downtown Council; MRPA and NRPA Profession Associations, Fire and Brimstone; Winter Carnival Board of Directors; the St. Paul Club; Past President Giese Sno-Cruiser's; former Treasurer Pine Lake Township; the Finlayson-Giese Lions; founder of the Pine Lake Dockers; Finance Chair of Finlayson United Methodist Church. He loved and enjoyed his family including Ross Hoernemann, many good friends, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, traveling and a good laugh. Visitation Saturday, January 5, 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. followed by a Celebration of Life service at 12:00 P.M. at the Finlayson United Methodist Church. Private interment at a later date.
