I had my as it turned out ,very last time with my uncle "Jim",this being at the hospital."Jim" was a very down to earth and direct person,he would always state clearly what was on his mind. A rare quality in a person. He was a very dedicated husband to his wife and my aunt "Neva', and father to his children ,Bill,Jean, and Jennifer,my cousins. He so loved humor and the many great jokes he heard as well as relay them too. Before he passed this last fathers day,,june 21st, I talked with him briefly on the topic of "Souls",in his room at the hospital, this after his immediate family went on home looking very sad,as "Jim" was obviously in his last few days here on earth.I asked him,,"have you said the prayer"?,, "have you confessed your heart"? as we all should, as I should and have,,to ensure all of us in our family of a reunion someday with each other in Heaven?,To God in the name of Christ,,to insure,,,forgive us,,make us ready,,,prepared,,,for the final journey,,,"Jim" intently listened to my words,,I shook his hand as I was then leaving and he shook my hand firmly back as in (agreement)...God rest your soul "JIM", we will God willing meet again.

Dearest Neva and family,
I want you to know how much my prayers are with you at this time. I have so many wonderful memories of Jim from my childhood. Both you and he were so awesome to our family and my mom and dad. I remember the competition between Jim and my dad golfing and Neva you were great to all eight of us kids. When we lost John I know my mom was so greatful for all your support.
Please spend time remembering what a great guy your husband, dad, grandfather and uncle was. People like Jim don't come along very often. Now he is in heaven keeping my dad company, what a trip that must be...Love you so very much and LOVED JIM SO MUCH, I am so sorry I cannot make it to his services but I will be there in my heart and spirit.

I am so very sorry for your loss! I know what it is to lose a father - my own died of the complications of years of living with lung issues also. He was not expected to live past his 40's, but managed, but the grace of God and the wonders of medicine to make it to the age of 62. We were saddened to lose him and struck hard but the loss we felt, but at the same time, comforted that he no longer had to struggle each day for what we take for granted: each breath. I pray that all of you are comforted knowing Jim is at peace now with no pain or suffering and I pray that you also feel the arms of our loving savior who surrounds you with his power, comfort and love at all times but especially during times like this!
