JAMES S. KOWALSKI Obituary
Age 67 ~ Passed Away Accidently September 5th, 2013 Survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Anne (Oase), daughter Kris Kowalski Christiansen, son-in-law Jim Christiansen, beloved grandchildren Sophie, Zach, Chase, Tanner. Sisters, Mary Lynn (Carol), Deb (Sylvia), Shelly Caron (Mitchell). Brothers, Bob (Kristen), Tom (Amy). Nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Jim's first love was his family. He was known for being approachable and generous with his time as a family man, friend and mentor. He inspired many as a skilled entrepreneur and visionary. Jim was a spiritual man who pursued a life of learning. He was "more than" passionate about his golf game and loved the quiet of nature. Kowalski's Markets is celebrating its 30th year. Jim was deeply humbled by the support and dedication of employees, vendors and customers. He was honored to be a board member of United Hospital Foundation and Hazelden Foundation. Jim received many awards through the years including the Service to Humanity Award from United Hospital in 2010. Jim's laugh was infectious and sense of humor memorable. He was deeply loved by many. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred Kowalski 4 Kids Foundation. 8505 Valley Creek Rd. Woodbury MN, 55125.
