"Paul" Age 50, of St. Paul Joseph Paul Summers, Jr. was born April 1st, 1962 to Judge Joseph and Carol Summers, an apt birthday for a man known by his sardonic wit. In his lifetime he married the love of his life Patricia (Caulfield), "a feisty Irish broad," (his words), and raised two remarkable children. Raised in Highland Park, Paul was a lifelong St. Paul resident, graduating from Cretin High School in 1980 before going on to get a BA in Communications from the University of Minnesota. He didn't need the degree to do what he did best, talk to people. There is no one who met Paul who wasn't drawn in by his charisma. He used that skill in the food service industry, working for over twenty years in food sales. A subtle sarcastic aside, paired with one raised eyebrow, and it was hard to stifle a laugh. His greatest accomplishment, however, were his children, Joseph Paul Summers III, a gifted musician and Madeline Summers, a brilliant, beautiful young woman. They, along with their mother, were his beacon and he carried that unbreakable love with him as he left this world. Paul is survived by his devoted family, Patti, Madeline, & Joe, mother Carol, brothers Andrew (Jill), Patrick (Alison), Matthew (Joy) and sister Margaret Summers, and preceded in death by his father. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends. His family would like to thank the public in their assistance in searching for Paul when he went missing. Your outpouring of love and support is what carries us through this difficult time.
