Kay Bonner Nee Obituary
Actress - Writer - Activist Passed away August 2, 2010, after a brief battle with lung cancer at age 90. Preceded in death by husband William. Survived by son Christopher (Susie) and daughters Nicole (Alan Cox), Lisa (Jeff Cohen) and Rachel (Adam Hall), and by grandchildren Alyssa, Laurel, Scott, Will, Grantland, Hank, David, Ben, Charlie and Willow. Graduate of College of St. Catherine, served in WWII with 5th Corps in Europe as entertainer with Red Cross, witness to the Holocaust, radio personality, actress, writer, director at WCCO-TV in 1950s, activist for peace and justice. Her sense of adventure, love of life and of humanity continue to inspire us. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30AM., Thursday, August 5, 2010 at the Church of St. John Neumann, 4030 Pilot Knob Rd. @ Deerwood Dr.; Eagan. Visitations 5:00 - 8:00PM., Wednesday, Aug. 4 at J.S. Klecatsky & Sons Funeral Home (651-454-9488), 1580 Century Pt.; Eagan and also one-hour prior to the Mass at church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
