Lillian Chapman CARLSON Obituary
Lillian Chapman Carlson, of North Oaks, MN, and formerly of Edina, MN, and Lake San Marcos, CA, went to be with her Lord on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012. Preceded in death by beloved husband, the Reverend Richard Lawrence Klein; infant daughter, Anne Louise Klein; mother and father, Hope T. Chapman and the Reverend Raymond A. Chapman; and beloved husband, Byron Christian Carlson. Survived by dearly loved daughters and their husbands, Valerie Klein Sable and John P. Sable, Vista, CA, and Melanie Klein Juds and Wayne C. Juds, Vadnais Heights, MN; five adored grandchildren, Catherine, Richard, and Stephanie Sable, Austin and Courtney Juds; brother and wife, R. Austin and Nadine P. Chapman, Anthem, AZ; and brother, the Reverend H. Bruce Chapman, and wife, Doris, Surprise, AZ; husband Richard's brother, Donald R. Klein and wife, Mary, Eagan, MN; husband Byron's sister, Patricia C. Wester, Marcus, IA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lillian was loved by all, and she was full of love for all. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Lillian married Richard Lawrence Klein, and attended Crown College with him in preparation for Christian ministry and foreign missionary service. Before their last child was born, and while Richard was in a pastorate in Beatrice, NE, he died suddenly, and thus Lillian was unable to go on with their plans for missionary service. She did continue a very active music ministry, however, for much of her remaining years, and she was able to raise and educate two beautiful daughters before marrying Byron Carlson in 1975. A family burial will be private. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 28, 2012, at 11 AM, in the chapel at Waverly Gardens, 5919 Centerville Road, North Oaks, MN, www.waverlygardensphs.org, with visitation one hour previous to service. Instead of flowers, family prefers memorials to Crown College in St. Bonifacius, MN, www.crown.edu, or to donor's choice. www.albinchapel.com Albin Chapel 952-914-9410
