Alberta's Family,

I was so sad to hear about Max's death. He was such a great man and always such a good friend to my dad, right to the end of my dad's life. It's comforting to think that they are together playing golf and sharing stories. We are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers!

Dearest Alberts Family,

You are all in our prayers and thoughts. Max and Bill Gallagher would always come over to see Kenny Jones and would sit for a long time and enjoy each others company. They grew up together and had a long, long, long friendship and knew a special bond. We will miss the 4th of July parties, fireworks in the back yard with a great picnic, golf weekends in Southern Minnesota and seeing them sit in the "den" and tell old "war stories of South St. Paul. The Rat Pack will never be the same. They are all amazing people and will be missed.

Max left behind an amazing family of good, loving people with hearts of Gold.

God Bless all of you and thank you for sharing an amazing man.

Max...have fun on the final 19th hole.
God Bless you all.

Our deepest sympathy to the Alberts family. Our family has known the Alberts through the stock yards as Midwest farmers for many many years. Max was a good man. I worked for him when I was young . He will be missed.

I only got to know Grandpa Max for almost 4 years but he definitely made an impression on me! He had a light that is hard to find now-a-days! Such a gentle, kind and mischievous spirit. He was a great storyteller and I always wished I could sit down with him and pick his brain. His sense of humor was great! It would have been nice to have known him longer but he's with God now and someday I'll join him in heaven and we can have those conversations we didn't get to have! God bless you Max!

It was truly sad to learn of Max's death but then God must have needed his smile, whit and knack for story telling in heaven. I so enjoyed our conversations dating back to the middle 70's. The Alberts' home always seemed to be that last stop before the "fellows" went out for the night. Max was always at his chair with a beer and a bump, a wide smile and a great story of days bygone. He was always up on current events, could intelligently discuss anything and liked to be engaged in the discussion of the day. I could have sat and discussed the Yards and the Market, politics, economics, college life and just about any topic Max was willing to talk about. He was a worldly guy who had an easy approach to conversation. I will forever cherish those memories of Max and will always appreciate the encouragement he gave me. He was a truly great man. Sue and I extend our deepest condolences to the entire Alberts' family. You had a great Dad Buzzy, cherish his memory and rejoice in his everlasting life with his Creator.

What a great man! Max was such a spectacular story teller. He always brought a smile to my face and laughter with all the tales from old hockey in SSP to the great, stock yards and exchange. Every story was told with the excitment as if it happened that day. The ability to transfer such enthusiasm is truly a lost art of sharing the JOY of living. My thoughts and prayers go out to all.

Marilyn and Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your father. I do know that it is hard to lose a parent but it does get better as time goes on.

May the love of God grant you peace,
The love of friends bring you comfort,
and the love of your dear one live forever in your heart.
Memories keep the one you loved close to you in spirit and thought,
And always in your heart
Today and Forever.
Thinking of all of you with deepest sympathy and lots of love.
My thoughts and prayers are with you always.
May your father soar with the eagles. You now have a very special angel watching over all of you.
RIP

The last time I saw Uncle Max was with my Mom, Maxine (Alberts) Gruber. We were visiting the house that Uncle Max and Maxine grew-up at in South St Paul. Uncle Max told the story of throwing a football in the house that broke one of Grandpa's (Max Alberts Sr.) golf trophies. Uncle Max laughed while he told the story. It was very enjoyable to hear a story that I've never heard about him and Grandpa.

I'm very sorry for the loss of your Dad and husband. I hope that Uncle Max is in heaven playing cards with Grandpa and Grandma Alberts!
Love,
Therese (Gruber) Weierke
