Patricia A. (Norton) HENCIR Obituary
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on March 8, 2014 Preceded in death by husband Thomas and son Gregory. Lovingly remembered by daughters Susan Cathey (Thomas), Stephanie Hencir (Patrick Lamey), Sheila Murphy (Patrick); son David; daughter-in-law Jody Hauer. Beloved grandmother of Sarah Orman (Jesse), Rachel Cathey, Thomas Murphy, Nora Rose Hencir; great-grandmother of Daniel Cathey, Leah Orman and Sophie Orman. Dear sister of Rosella Cockriel, Helen Alberg; many nieces and nephews. Pat took great joy in happy times with her family—celebrating her Irish heritage, telling stories, travel, particularly trips to the north woods, gardening, Twins games, Shakespeare at the Guthrie. She was a proud graduate of St. Catherine University and the University of Minnesota, and member of multiple book clubs. Her careers included teaching English at St. Margaret's Academy & administration at the University of Minnesota Horticulture Department. Pat's family is grateful to the staff of Lyngblomsten Care Center for their superb care and kindness. Visitation TODAY, 4-8PM Monday, March 10 at Roseville Memorial Chapel (2245 N. Hamline Ave. Roseville 651-631-2727). Mass of Christian Burial 11:30AM Tuesday March 11 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (835 2nd Ave. New Brighton). Interment St. John the Baptist Cemetery in New Brighton.
