Age 66 of Hugo - Retired from West Publishing Company Passed away July 23, 2010. Survived by wife Mary; sons Christopher, Michael, Jeffrey & Scott & daughter Jeannette, all of Minnesota; brother Larry of Lee's Summit, MO; uncle Johnny & Karl Ann Jons, Centerview MO; and his best friend Kirby. Ray loved his family and friends.Thank you to Doctor Brod, Doctor Monahan and the ICU nurses at Lakeview Hospital and Doctor Patrick Johnston & staff at Mayo Clinic for their care and support. Mary and Family, I just learned from you last week on Ray's passing. I enjoyed many days coaching with Ray. He was so great with the kids. When no one else would want to coach Ray always did it. He always made sure the kids had fun. He was an inspiration to many kids and will be dearly missed.

Mary & family,
I just heard about Ray's passing & I am so sorry to hear that. He was way too young to leave this world. Ray & I go back so many years when he worked @ West in KC & then moved to St Paul. I have many good memories of him. I know he will be missed by many people. Please accept my condolences at this very sad time. God bless.

So sorry to hear about Ray's passing. Ray was such a wonderful man -- I will always remember his smile and head nods. That picture of him is exactly how he will be remembered. I am so sad to hear of Ray's passing. Ray was my boss at West for years. He was a great boss and friend! He was always kind to everyone. I have missed seeing him around the office for years, but know I will truly 'miss him'.
