Sylvia L. HYDAL Obituary
94 years, of Petersburg, MI, died Monday, October 29, 2013, at her home. Graveside services will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg, Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 2:00 P.M.. Pastor Mark Flory will officiate. Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, is assisting the family with arrangements. Mrs. Hydal was born July 18, 1919, in Charleston, MO, to Logan and Meda Triplett. A High School Graduate, she married Marlin Hydal on October 31, 1939, in Hastings, MN. Sylvia raised three children through to high school, and then began a career at the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor, MI. She proudly retired 22 years later as the Supervisor of the University of Michigan Graduate Library. Sylvia was also an active member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Petersburg, serving as a Sunday School teacher, and in many other roles and activities. Surviving are: a son, Gaylord (Kathleen; daughters, Marilyn Francis and Gayle Chick; four grandchildren and a great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin; grandson, Chad W. Koraleski; and an infant sister, Elizabeth.
