Virginia SANDBERG Obituary

Died Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Carroll Health Center Nursing Home in Carroll, Iowa at the age of 92. Virginia was born on August 27, 1920, at Braham, MN., the daughter of Victor and Anna (Danielson) Westin. She attended public schools in Mora, Brunswick and St. Paul, MN. Virginia graduated from the University of Minnesota. She devoted her life to teaching in St. Paul. Virginia and Wayne Sandberg were married on February 18, 1961, at the Minnehaha Baptist Church in Minneapolis, MN. Virginia was a Member of Berean Baptist Church in Burnsville. MN. She loved her church and was a Honorary member of the Conquerers Adult Bible Fellowship Group. Virginia is survived by her husband, Wayne Wesley, son, Mark Philip, and sister, Lorraine Brueckert. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Joel Berglund and sisters, Judith Wygant, Ruth Collison, Helen Rockwood and brother, Wilber. Memorials preferred to Berean Baptist Church Burnsville. A memorial service will be held in Minneapolis at a later date. 651-645-1233
