Sister Ancelle GAGNON CSJ Obituary
Of Carondelet Village Peacefully on March 2, 2014 She was preceded in death by her parents, Lydia Demaris and Phineas Gagnon and seven of her siblings: Loretta Waginer, Hazel Paumen, Gertrude Peterson (her twin), Myrtle Coyes, Marge Cavanaugh, Thomas Gagnon and Lawrence (Pete) Gagnon. Sister Ancelle spent over 30 years teaching mostly middle school grades in several schools in the Twin Cities area as well as in Grand Forks, ND and in schools in greater Minnesota. After retiring from teaching she spent seven years working in the Library at the College of St. Catherine. In subsequent years she served as a receptionist and a companion in several places. She is survived by her brother, Martin, sisters-in-law, Bea and Yvonne, nieces and nephews, the Sister of St. Joseph and Consociates, and her caregivers at Carondelet Village. A wake will be held at 10 AM Monday, March 10, 2014 at St. Joseph Provincial House (1880 Randolph Ave., St. Paul) with the funeral liturgy at 11 AM. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery after the luncheon which follows the funeral. Memorials may be made to: The Sisters of St. Joseph Retirement Fund, 1884 Randolph Ave., St. Paul, MN, 55105.
