Charles P. WILDER Obituary
Age 95 Of White Bear Lake Passed away peacefully on March 31 at home. Chuck grew up in No. Mpls. He lived through the depression, was a B-17 pilot in WWII and returned to work at the GN/BN RR and attended the U of MN for a business. degree. He retired as the Director of Accounting after 42 years at the RR. He married Elizabeth (Betty) Barrett in 1950. He was a devoted and loving husband and father where family always came first. He always had a great smile, a great sense of humor and a wonderful attitude about life, enjoying life fully including travel, bridge, curling, golf, theatre, volunteer work and time with friends. He was a wonderful caregiver for his wife for more than 14 yrs until her death 12-24-13. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles J./Margaret Wilder, Sister Margaret Breviu, Brother Frank Wilder. Survived by his children, Patty Wilder (Ryan Schroeder) and Michael Wilder (Peggy) and grandchildren Dustin Schroeder, (great grandson Jace) Jaime Windsperger (Casey) and his brother Edward Wilder. Visitation 9:30 a.m. Mass 10:30 on Tuesday, April 8th, 2014 at St. Mary's of the Lake, 4741 Bald Eagle Ave., WBL, with burial at Fort Snelling. Thanks to CK, Heartland Home Care/Hospice, many great Drs/ Tom B. and such great friends. He will be so missed. One from the Greatest Generation for certain.
