Francis Gregory "Sonny" PLUMB Obituary
Born October 13, 1915, in Clintonville, WI. After celebrating his 70th wedding anniversary, he passed away peacefully on June, 14, 2014, surrounded by his loving wife and children in his home in Lakeville, MN. A long-time resident of Lakeville, he was an amateur boxer and a well-known drummer, who played for numerous proms; weddings, including first weddings and their 50th anniversaries; and other events. In the '40s and '50s, he led his own band, "Sonny Plumb and His Swing-O-Land Band." He enjoyed farming, deer hunting, socializing and joking with people, but most of all, he loved his family. Preceded in death by his mother, Ida Nason; his step-father, Rinaldo Nason; father, George Plumb; sister, Virginia Moynahan; and brother, Albert Nason. Survived by his beloved wife, Alice Elizabeth Kerr Plumb; children, Gregory (Kathy) Plumb, Deborah (Raymond Parson) Plumb, Mary (Paul) Adams, Kathleen (John) Reseland, and Patricia (Barry) Hand; sister-in-law, Helen Nason; grandchildren, Jeremy Plumb, Robert (Kirsten) Walstead, John (Angela) Reseland, Vanessa Reseland, Eric Reseland, Michael (Claire) Adams, and Julia Hand; great-grand-children Connor Walstead, Freya Walstead, Boston Adams, and Marley Adams; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials preferred to the National Foundation for Cancer Research or . Funeral Service 1 PM Friday, June 20, 2014 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 8250 202nd St. W., Lakeville, MN.
