Philip Springstead Obituary

Age 64 Of St. Paul Died peacefully on March 28, 2012. Born in Duluth, MN, he attended UW-Stout and MCAD before joining Honeywell Research Labs as a graphic designer. He enjoyed creating the art that showed what the scientists were inventing. In 1995 he started his oil painting restoration studio. Phil had a great gift for bringing ideas to life, reviving the original intent of other artists, and most importantly, nurturing his beloved children. His is survived by wife, Valija, sons Philip Jr and Ryan, daughter Meredith, brother Paul, niece Brita and nephew Michael, life-long best friend Anthony Scornovacco and many friends and relatives. A celebration of his life will be on April 14 at 2 p.m. at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave, Mpls. Memorials to MPR or a charity of one's choice. 651-645-1233
