Edward Thomas Brennan Obituary
"Tom" Judge Edward Thomas Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, WWII Veteran - age 88, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Preceded in death by parents, Edward K. and Charlotte K. Brennan; and sister, Mary Brennan Myers. Survived by wife, LaVerne with whom he shared 56 loving years; daughters, Mary (Mark) Ronayne and Maureen; grandchildren, Claire and Thomas Ronayne; and several cousins. Tom was born on December 14, 1923 in St. Paul, attended Central High School, joined the U.S. Navy and served in WWII in the Pacific Theater as a Lieutenant Commander. He entered law school and upon graduation practiced law. He was appointed to the Ramsey Country District Court as a judge, which he retired from in 1991. His many and various hobbies included: poetry, fishing, rock collecting, hunting, farming, genealogy, and he was an active environmentalist for the Sunrise River. He was a loving husband, father and grand-father who enjoyed every minute of life that was available to him, and his gentle presence and kindness will be greatly missed. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am Wednesday, May 30 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, Stanford at Prior, St. Paul. Private burial Oakland Cemetery. Visitation at church 1 hour prior to Mass.
