Hattie M. PEPINSKI Obituary
Loving Mother, Mother-in-law Grandmother, Sister and Aunt Proud Naval Veteran of World War II, age 97, lifelong resident of St. Paul, passed away peacefully November 1, 2012. Hattie graduated from Mechanic Arts High School and went on to be the first woman to receive an Industrial Relations certificate from the University of Minnesota night school. She served her country as a Yeoman Second Class in the US Navy from 1944-1948. Over the years she enjoyed long blade skating, bowling, golfing, traveling and being independent. Hattie had a 48 1/2 year career at the Dept of Employment & Economic Security. After retirement, Hattie was an avid volunteer at the Science Museum, HealthEast Pain Clinic, American Red Cross, the Special Olympics, and anywhere else help was needed. Sadly missed by her son, Tom; daughter-in-law, Jody; grandchildren, Brian and Michael; sister, Florence Crowley; brother, Dick Pepinski; nieces, Pat Katzmark (Bill) and Bunny Snyder (Jim); along with other extended family and life long friends. Greeted at the pearly gates by her parents, Josephine and Sigmund Pepinski; sister, Irene Crea; brother-in-law, Bill Crowley and Kris & Kyle Tierney. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday, November 6 at MATERNITY OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1414 N. Dale St., St. Paul. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Visitation AT THE CHURCH from 10-11 AM Tuesday.
