Age 86 years, of Arden Hills On December 29th 2012 Survived by his partner and loving wife Bessie of 68 years. Also two sons & two daughters. Michael & Nancy Kronstedt of Afton, MN. Nancy & Dennis Regole of St. Charles, IL. Jon & Beverly Kronstedt of Shoreview, MN. Karen & Gary Hamilton of Whitefish, MT. Seven grandchildren. James Lenthe (wife Sheri), Kelly Lenthe, Brandon Kronstedt (wife Jackie) Gunnar Hamilton (wife Maritsa), Gretchen Hamilton, Kevin Kronstedt (wife Kjersti), Brian Kronstedt. Five great-grandchildren; Spencer, Bennett, Kaleigh, Claire and Hunter. Lived in St. Paul area his whole life, attended Tilden grade school where he was Chief of School Police for St. Paul school system 1939. High School Murray, excelled at football, basketball & baseball. Murray is where he met and later married the homecoming queen Bessie. Served in the Navy WWII, baker on L.S.T. South Pacific, biggest battle Iwo Jima. AA degree at U of M. First job selling for Albrecht Furs until 1951. He then sold for Presto until 1955, before starting his own Manufactures Representive agency, Kronstedt Associates he retired in 1991. Today, his two sons run the two companies he set up. Mike, Continental Merchandisers, Inc. and Jon, Kronstedt Incentives, Inc. Monty is past President, Northwest Hardware Houseware Club, and IMRA. Midway Civic & Commerce Assoc. St Paul Small Business Man of the Year. Monty was 1972 West Wind St. Paul Winter Carnival and active in other Civic Organizations. Younger years Boy Scouts, Y.M.C.A, Advent & Centennial Churches, Mason Jesters, and loved golfing at Midland Hills. Monty & Bessie loved to travel. They have seen most places around the world, but Bessie said many times, "we haven't seen it all yet!" Monty lived on Lake Johanna for 54 years and spent 6 months a year in Naples, Florida at the Royal Wood Country Club. 9:30 Visitation, 10:30 service and brunch to follow at CENTENNIAL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH (1524 Co. Rd. C2, Roseville, MN.) on Thursday, Jan. 3rd. Interment to follow at 1:30PM in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the American 1078 Rice Street 651-489-1349
