Aloys D. "Al" WAGNER Obituary
Age 80 Of Hampton Loved and respected husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend passed away peacefully in the company of family on March 22, 2013. Al is survived by Mary, wife of 57 years, along with their five children Terri Bennis, Steve (Cathy), Mike (Jill), Liz (Jim) Munsen, and Kelly (Dave) Hinkemeyer, as well as siblings Ralph (Dorothy), Elizabeth (Paul) Reuter, LeRoy, Paul (Donna), and Earl (Mary). He was also blessed with fifteen beautiful grandchildren and five great-grandchildren - his true prides and joy. Al lived his entire life in Hampton, MN. And will miss - and be missed by -so many in that community. He and Mary enjoyed wintering in Arizona, and were blessed to have made some incredible friendships there, as well. Al lived a complete and full life: Korean War vet, successful farming and business careers, and an infinite amount of weddings, babies, and family functions! Above all, Al will be remembered for his wisdom, warmth, gentle sense of humor, and complete selflessness. His positive outlook on life and love was something that we can only aspire to. Although deeply saddened by our loss, Al's family takes great comfort in his peaceful passing and the legacy of dignity and excellence that he left us with. We have no doubt he will continue to provide loving guidance and caring embrace in years to come: "You were the rock, the glue, and now the Angel who's watching over us all. WE LOVE YOU PAPA!" Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Fr. James Perkl and Fr. Michael Tix will be held 11 AM Tuesday, April 2 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 West 15th St., Hastings, MN. Wake is scheduled for April 1 from 4-8 PM Monday AT THE CHURCH, and one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors provided by the Hastings VFW Lyle Russell Post #1210 will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family would prefer contributions to The Movement Disorder (account #3444), U of M Foundation, McNamara Alumni Ctr, Suite 500, 200 Oak Street SE, Mpls., MN 55455. 651-437-9419
