Hazel May KOCHENDORFER

Passed away on June 10, 2013 in Rogers, AR She was born on May 30, 1917 in McGregor, North Dakota to Harald Alfred and Gertrude Ellen Burton Berg. She graduated from Harding High School, St. Paul, MN in 1935 with honors. She married Robert V. Kochendorfer of South St. Paul on April 15, 1941. During WWII, she joined her husband in Cheyenne, WY, and worked in the office of United Airlines where they armed and fitted bombers. She returned to St. Paul after the birth of her first child as Robert prepared to ship overseas to serve in India. Hazel and Robert had 69 family years of camping, travel, square dancing and golfing. After retirement, they lived in both Florida and Arkansas and also spent quality time with the grandchildren at Spider Lake in Wisconsin. Hazel is survived by four children, Roy (Cathy Bos) Kochendorfer, Santa Barbara, CA, Lee (Corinne Robeck) Kochendorfer, Shoreview, MN, Mark (Diane Boushek) Kochendorfer, Golden Valley, MN, Joyce (Bruce) Lubinski, Chippewa Falls, WI; 8 grandchildren, John (Patience) Knoxville, TN, Kate (Adam) Smith, New York, NY, Kharma (Brian) Parker, Rogers, AR, Krishna Kochendorfer (Ron Dailey), Salt Lake City, UT, Adam (Karla Roman) Kochendorfer, Eureka, CA, Mary Jo Kochendorfer, Seattle, WA, Keith (Nay) Lubinski, Cottage Grove, MN, David (Kamila) Lubinski, Eau Claire, WI; and 9 great grandchildren. Hazel is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and six siblings; Anna Johnson, Gertrude Abbe, Herbert Berg, Earl Berg, Clarence Berg, and Harold Berg. Funeral services will be at 3:00PM, Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Chapel in Rogers with a visitation from 2:00pm until service time.
