He is also survived by his daughter Kristine and husband, Scott Schroeder; his daughter Denise and husband, Kevin Brewer; his daughter Stephanie and partner, Jake Reint; and his son Richard, and wife Carolyn. Charlie was a proud grandpa to Kyle and Kitara. Charlie was born on October 8, 1948, in East Grand Forks, MN. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. In 1989, Charlie moved his family to the Twin Cities and worked for 3M until his retirement in 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. He is survived by two brothers, Daniel and Baldemar, and sister, Florestella Kiefat. He was also known as "Uncle Charlie" to many nieces and nephews. Full of life, Charlie's passion was cooking and sharing recipes with his children. The family's kitchen table served as the centerpiece to many memorable gatherings filled with laughter, food and music. He will always be remembered for his courage, strength, sense of humor, and his love for Bob Dylan. Charlie will be forever missed.
