Edward John MULLARKY Obituary
Age 97 Died February 26th, 2014 peacefully at home. Preceded in death by wife and partner of 64 years Mary June; and son in law David LeClair. Devoted father to children Shannon LeClair, Kathy, Mike, Kevin (Lori), Shawn (Birdie); adoring grandfather to Michelle Le Clair Hyatt, Chris LeClair, Anna and Connor Mullarky, Chase and Audrey Mullarky, Keegan and Lucy Mullarky and great grandfather to Caitlin, Lauren, David, Annie, Caroline, Emily, and Easton. Captain of the hockey team and proud graduate of Cretin High School class of 1935. Served in WWII as a pilot flying the "Hump" over the Himalayas and awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. Served in the 47th Viking Division as a pilot during the Korean War. After retiring from Gould National Batteries elected to the Lilydale City Council in 1990 and served as mayor from 1995-2006. A true gentleman representing The Greatest Generation, proud of his Irish heritage, providing quiet strength for his family. Special thank you to Missy Kittleson and Karen Freer for their kind and loving care and support and the HealthEast hospice team. Memorials preferred to Little Sisters of the Poor or Cretin - Derham Hall High School. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 3 at Assumption Catholic Church, 51 West 7th Street, St. Paul. Visitation Sunday, March 2 from 4 to 7 p.m. at O'Halloran and Murphy, 575 Snelling Ave. South and one hour prior at the church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. 651-698-0796
