Ernest John FALTEISEK Jr. Obituary
Passed away at his home in Maplewood on March 3, 2014. He was born on July 4, 1928 in St Paul, Minnesota to the late Ernest and Rose (Brickner) Falteisek. A lifelong resident of the Twin Cities, Pepper was a World War II veteran. He retired from Greif Bros. Corp as Plant Manager of one of the last existing wooden barrel factories in the United States, and he was a proud President of the Cooperage Association of America. He was a hockey enthusiast and coach, having helped start area youth hockey programs and Tartan Area Traveling Hockey. He was always quick with a joke and he will be remembered for his boundless energy and love for his family. He was preceded in death by his brother Alvin, and sisters Gladys and Dorothy (Erpenbach). He will be sorely missed by his loving wife of 62 years, Joyce (Seiberlich), sister Marlys Ertel, sons Michael (Tina), Mark (Jody), Jeff (Karen), Paul (Mary), Jim (Dianne), daughter Mary Beth Savre (Kent), 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grand-children. A celebration of Pepper's life will be held on Thursday, March 6 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Oakdale, MN. Visitation from 2pm-6pm, followed by mass of Christian Burial at 6:00 pm.
