There are a few people that one remembers always. That are not forgotten with the passage of time. Indeed, that is how we live on, how Tom lives on, I think. In the memories of those whose lives he touched. And changed forever. Dan Sutton

Tom was my very first flight instructor. And due to other situations in my life, likely my very first friend. He was THE most unique human being that I have ever met, even to this day.
Only recently I learned about his passing, and it really devastated me to see such a fine human being leave the world WAY too early.
If anyone ever reads these after five years, feel free to contact me at; [email protected] or [email protected].
Right now it is just hard for me to get my hands round the loss of a person I respected and treasured ever so much.
One that was overflowing with life, and the love of living it. If we live on in the memories of others, than Tom shall live on in mine until the end of days. Likely not too soon from now.

Dear Perillo Family,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Tom. He was one of the kindest, smartest, most well rounded pilots and aviators in our business. In the Chief pilot office - he was most importantly a great listener and always had a great solution delivered in a spirit of calmness and keen wisdom. No Chief Pilot was or will be better. My deepest sympathy to all. His sprit will remain with the many he helped.
Sincerely,
Joe Kannapell

So very sad to hear of Tom's passing. Tom was a guiding light to me at Driscoll H. S. when we played on the very 1st hockey team there. He was a great Captain then with his upbeat and ferocious playing style. All the players looked up to him. He was a great leader. My heart , thoughts and prayers go out to all the Perillo Family members. Diane and ther sons, John, Mike ,and Skip's families and especially to Tom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Perillo. Heaven's hockey team just got a great Captain and a hell of a hockey player and a Great guy.

Tom was an excellent example of what a human being should be. He was kind, compassionate and always looked on the plus side of every event. During his tenure in the Chief Pilots office he was truly a pilot's Chief Pilot always error ing if any on the pilot's side.
The seat belt sign is definitely off for you my friend. No more suffering but only the joys of heaven that you so truly deserve. You will be missed. RIP

Growing up in my early childhood I can remember Tom being at our house along with his older brother John. They were very good friends of my brothers Mark and Paul. For all the Perillo families and friends my heartfelt sympathy to you all.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. We are at a loss for words. Tom was truly one of the great ones and will be missed by many. He always had such worldly experiences to share but was always humble and praised God for his blessings. May the the wonderful memories Tom created with his family give them comfort at this difficult time.

I'm so sad to hear of the passing of my friend Tommy. I grew up with him. Our parents were so close we considered each other cousins. My fondest memory of Tommy is him helping me get my License Plates for my 1982 Firebird that my dad bought from Joe Perillo Pontiac that read "GET OUT". Thank you Tommy may you rest in Paradise.

Tom was a good friend at the airline. We often talked about getting together to shoot some ducks...never did. As my 727 Captain upgrade instructor, Tom had the insight & compassion for the rigorous pressures related to the program. He was truly a pilot's pilot. My all-time favorite Chief Pilot. My sympathies go out the entire family.

Tom flew as my First Officer after getting hired at Air Wisconsin Airlines many years ago, but I still remember his great attitude, smiley personality and excellent flying skills. I recall the he and Dianne met while she was working there as a Flight Attendant, as well. He was a joy to fly with and I was sad to see him leave our company, but am very happy to now learn of his great success in the airline industry. Tom, I can only hope to see you "on the other side", my friend.

Our son Schaefer shocked us with the news of ALS just before his deployment to the Cape Verde Islands. How sad to now hear of Tom's passing. Schaefer sends his condolences particularly for John.
Tom was always bright, positive and a pleasure to be with at work or play. It was always fun to run into Tom and catchup on aviation and life.
We shared some of the same passions: The last frontier, the crazy airline industry, the love of flight, the raising of son's, the commitment to family and the Catholic faith.
May Tom now rest in the peace of Christ and may God bless the four of you in this time of such profound loss.
Our prayers for your entire family.
