Bernard Joseph ZERR

Age 49 of Maplewood, MN formerly of Aberdeen, So. Dak., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 22, 2015 at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Preceded in death by his paternal Grandparents Rose and Joseph Zerr; maternal grandfather Bernard Reis; aunt Barbra Howell and a niece Catlin Sovich. Survived by his 2 sons, Benjamin and Tyler; parents Terry and Bonnie Zerr; sister Roberta (Dennis) Sovich; brother Chad Zerr; nieces, nephews, loving relatives and friends. Roncalli High School class of '85. Worked in technical maintenance at Ecolab. Besides his boys, Ben's greatest passion in life was his music, whether he was playing with a band, singing in church or just playing in his living room he was happiest with a guitar in his hand and song in his heart. His 2ND love was sports of any kind, if there was a sports event on TV you can bet Ben was watching, usually more than 1 at a time. Mass of Christian burial September 12, 2015, 10:30 AM at St Mary's Catholic Church, 409 2nd Ave NE Aberdeen with Father Mike Kelly, Celebrant. Luncheon after service in the Fellow Ship Hall. An open house for family and friends in Minnesota to reminisce Ben's Life will be held at 6095 Courtly Alcove Unit E Woodbury Minnesota on Wednesday September 2, 2015 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Ben's family would like to thank you for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. We are truly blessed to have Ben in our lives. In lieu of flowers we would ask that a donation be made to Roncalli High School or St Mary's Catholic Church in Ben's name.
