Richard HARRIS Obituary

Age 85, born in St. Paul now of Naples, FL, passed away peacefully March 15th. Preceded in death by his parents Charlie & Sylvia. Survived by loving wife of 62 years, Dee Dee; sister, Jane Wilmer; children, Wendy (James) Shapiro, Richie (Jack Palmquist), Danny (Ann), Todd (Laura); dog, Louie; and his 6 grandchildren. A graduate of SPA and Yale University. He had a great passion for golf and jazz, and always enjoyed a good martini. Loved painting & writing, authoring 4 books. He spent many years in the family business, B.W. Harris Mfg. Upon retiring he created a golf catalogue of unique gift items. Served on numerous boards; USGA Museum Committee, Pres. MN Golf Assoc., Outward Bound and rotary member. His only regret was he never had a hole in one! Graveside service WEDNESDAY, March 22 at 10:30, MOUNT ZION CEMETERY, 1670 Payne Ave., St. Paul.
