Edward Hullinger Obituary

Edward Hullinger, age 70 of Vernal passed away Jan. 25, 2010. He was born May 3, 1939 to Charles Delbert and Dacy Lorna Bowthrope Hullinger. He married Dorothie Jane Bird March 10, 1967 in Roosevelt. They were sealed in the Provo LDS Temple Dec. 10, 1983.
Edward served his country in the National Guard and the Army. He was a very hard worker and taught his kids to be good workers. He studied hard and earned his GED. He retired from Uintah County Roads Sign Department.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. He was a Primary Teacher, Cub Scout Master, in the Elder Quorum Presidency, Executive Secretary, and was presently over the Ward Temple Sealings, among other various callings.
He loved to hunt, fish, play games, camp, tease, spend time with his family and friends, and help others. He appreciated the kindness of his friends.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothie Hullinger, children, Raquel Riggs, Steven (Cindy) Hullinger, Travis Hullinger, Dustin Hullinger, and Alan Hullinger (all of Vernal) and Annette Hullinger of Price, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law Irvin Bird, daughter Misty Rae Hullinger, brother Alma Hullinger, brother-in-law Clyde Jenkins, sister-in-law Beverly Hullinger, niece Kassie Reynolds, and nephews Jim Jenkins, Gary Hullinger and Chris Hullinger.
Funeral services were held Sat., Jan. 30, at the Vernal Uintah Stake Center (4080 South 2500 East). Interment took place at the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
