Rodrick Lee "Ducky" Black, age 45, of Randlett, was killed in an automobile accident near Ouray on Oct. 26, 2012.

Rodrick was born June 21, 1967, in Durango, Colo., to Percy and Hazel Jenks Black. Ducky enjoyed fishing, playing and watching basketball, shooting darts, tinkering on cars and playing horse shoes. He had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to laugh, tease and spend time with his family and grandchildren. He was a firefighter and smoke jumper who liked his job.
He is survived by his children, Verlun (Ashley Denny) Black, Delano (Allison) Black, Krwin Black, all of Randlett; Suzanna (Curlis) Goodlow, Ft. Duchesne; 2 grandchildren, siblings, Joyce Jenks, Phillip Jenks, Colleen (Tracy) Black, all of Randlett; Reggie (Clarinda)Jenks, Sr., Ft. Duchesne; Tony Black, Roosevelt; and Suzanna (Cleve) Washington, Ft. Duchesne.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services were held Oct. 29 at the Randlett Cemetery. A wake was held after 5 p.m. on Sunday at Suzanna Goodlow's home in Ft. Duchesne.
