In Memoriam

Billy Britton was born on June 10, 1947, in Willits, California. Billy passed away on March 12, 2007, at his home in Willits, with his wife Joyce and grandson Eric, whom he raised, by his side. Billy was a native son who spent his youth in Round Valley, served his Country as a soldier in North Korea, and worked as equipment operator at P.G. & E for 35 years in Ukiah. The most important of his years were spent raising his grandson, Eric Saucedo. Billy was a man who was well liked and loved by all who knew him. He was a loving husband to Joyce for 39 years and father to James Jackson, John Jackson, and Sherry Jackson/Saucedo. Billy is also survived by his grandchildren Jamie, Cristal, Jameson, Samantha and Jevins Jackson, River, Miaya, and Mikai Jackson, Shudra Hulsey, Eric, Deric, Carry, Brandon, and Ralph Saucedo. Great-grandchildren, Jace Haddon, and Angel Alvarez. Billy leaves his sisters, Barbara Wilsey, Elsie Whipple, Pauline Gravier, and Susan Betts. Numerous cousins, aunts uncles, nieces and nephews, also survive.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents Violet, Ed Britton and sister Margaret Breedlove. Billy will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A wake and viewing will held at the Methodist Church in Covelo on Friday evening beginning at 5:00 P.M. Funeral will be held Saturday at the Methodist Church at 11 A.M. Billy will be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery in Covelo.
