Mike and some buddies formed the Rural Institute back in the '70s. It was the RI, together with the Ukiah Community Center, that introduced the Simple Living Workshops (reprised in recent years as the Not So Simple...). Mike loved rural living. In fact, this may be the first time I've seen him in a suit. Rest in Peace, Mike.
