UNION — Funeral services for Rosa Lee Parham Clayton, 86, 1003 Union Boulevard, will be held Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Woodson Chapel Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Union, she was the widow of Edward Eugene Clayton Sr. and daughter of the late Russell Parham Sr. and Susanna Thompson Parham. She was a member of Woodson Chapel Baptist Church where she was a member of the Missionary Society and a former choir member. She was retired from Union Mills.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Wallace Clayton; one grandson, Michael Henderson; one granddaughter, Teresa Ann Eison; four brothers, Russell Parham Jr., Walter Parham, Lewis Parham, and Johnnie Parham; and three sisters, Minnie Hunter, Eliza Bozman-Aiken, and Chloe Parham. She is survived by four sons, Aaron (Patricia) Parham of Jersey City, NJ, Donald Lewis (Celester) Parham, Sr. of Chester, SC, and George (Grace) Clayton and Ernest E. Clayton Jr., both of Union, SC; one daughter, Minnie Lee (Garnett, Sr.) Eison of Jonesville, SC; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a host of nieces and nephews, including one nephew reared in the home, David Parham of Brooklyn, NY; and two first cousins, Mamie Mitchell who was reared in the home and Irene Parham, both of Union, SC.
The family will receive friends at the home.
