INMAN — Mr. Charles H. Lawson, 80, husband of Sylvia Barber Lawson, 929 Steadman Farm Drive, Inman, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Lawson was born in Buffalo, S.C., Nov. 20, 1932, a son of the late Floyd Lawson and Lola Brooks Lawson. He was a 1952 graduate of Union High School and also a graduate of North Greenville College. Mr. Lawson retired from Pet Dairy and was a former member of the South Carolina National Guards. He was a member of Inman Mills Baptist Church and had served as Music Director for various churches.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons, Paul Mitchell Lawson of the home, David Brian Lawson and wife Lisa, Tim Lawson and wife Michelle, all of Boiling Springs, and Chris Lawson of the home; a sister, Polly Smith and husband Wayne of Union; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Lawson was predeceased by a son, Charles Terry Lawson; a sister, Bebe Malpass and two brothers, Harold Lawson and Danny Lawson.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 at Union Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at the graveside immediately following the service.
