ALLENSTOWN - Normand F. Archambault, 50, of Allenstown, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, after a sudden illness while surrounded by family and friends.
Normand was a lifelong resident of New Hampshire, growing up in and attending Goffstown area schools. He is the son of Gerard F. Archambault of Alton and Clara L. Croteau of Manchester.
After his enlistment in the U.S. Army where he served as a Ranger Scout, Normand returned to New Hampshire where he worked as a construction contractor. Normand's true passion was with the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, taxidermy, fly tying, raising animals, gardening and all things related to nature. He was equally comfortable out among the trees or on open water where he drew inspiration for his poems and poetic quips. Always with a warm and welcoming smile, Norm equally enjoyed sharing his knowledge and stories of the outdoors. Oh the stories…
In addition to his parents, Normand will be missed by his son, Joshua Archambault, close companion Beth Gage, brothers, Robert Archambault of Manchester, Michael Archambault of Carlisle, Mass., and sisters, Cathy Archambault and Marie-Anne Flowers both of Manchester, nieces Kalyn and Jessica Archambault and Madison Flowers and nephew Nicholas Flowers, as well as several extended family members.

Norm lived life to the fullest. I knew him in the Army. Even then he didn't take anything from anyone. He was true to himself and his friends. He will be missed by many friends. I only wish I had one more chance, to drink a beer with him. Rest in peace my friend.

Norm taught me so much is such a short period of time. We experienced so many "firsts" together (more on my part than his) and enjoyed the simplest things as long as we were together. He would always say how blessed he was and I as well as many more know that be true. I am also blessed to have had the chance to love and be loved by him. Please take comfort knowing how much Faith he had and was ready for whatever God had planned for him. Thank you God for putting Norm in my life. That will never be taken away.

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God,believe also in me. In my Father"s house are many mansions,if it were not so I would have told you.I go to prepare a place for you,and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also. To all of Norm's loved ones and friends, we are so sorry for your loss. Although we only knew Norm for a short time; he made a lasting impression on our family.
I found two videos I had taken the night Norm took me to learn how to fish for smelt (Jan 2009). I wish I had taken more. I thought that you may like to see them and read about that adventure.
These are privately listed but you can find them at these links:

Mike, Cathy and the rest of the family: I would have loved to know Norm. He sounds as great at Brother Mike and Sister Cathy. Mike, your posted passage from the Bible said all I could possibly say, other that my heart goes out to the entire family.

Matthew 11:28-30 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
