MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. - Angelina "Angel" Therese (Ledoux) LeBlanc, 95, formerly of Leesburg, Fla., Manchester, N.H., and summers in York Beach, Maine, passed away on Oct. 23, 2012, at La Casa Memory Care, Merritt Island.
She was born on Oct. 12, 1917, in Manchester, N.H., the 20th child of 21 children born to the late Amedee and Corinne ( A u b e r t i n ) Ledoux. She was a graduate of Notre Dame des Anges Academy, Saint Laurent, Quebec, Canada, class of 1936 and The Manchester Institute of Arts and Sciences, Art School, Manchester, N.H. Preceding her in death was her husband of 60 years, Maurice L. LeBlanc, who passed away on June 10, 2000, in Leesburg. She is survived by her daughters, Paulette (Edward) Dickinson of Cape Canaveral, Fla., Denise Elkavich of Tucker, Ga., Charlotte Ferland of Manchester, N.H., Marie (James) Nordahl of Yorktown, Va., and son, Marc (Alison) LeBlanc of Green Cove Springs; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Angel retired from GTE Sylvania as a quality control inspector in Manchester, N.H. before moving to Leesburg. She enjoyed an active retirement, making new friends, playing shuffleboard, singing, and pursuing many artistic and craft projects. In 2008 she moved to Courtenay Springs Village on Merritt Island, where she continued to be actively involved in the community and enjoying the company of her dear friend, Harland (Jeff) Jeffords.
Angel will be remembered for her love of God, her devotion to her family and friends, her generous and caring nature, her artistic talents and outgoing personality. May our "Angel" rest in peace.
An interment of ashes will take place in New Hampshire at a later date.
