MANCHESTER - Anthony D. Mariscal, 67, of Manchester, died Nov. 27, 2012, at Concord Hospital in Concord following a period of declining health.
He was born on Nov. 6, 1945, in Florence, Ariz., the son of the late Raul J. and Lillian Chisholm. He was a resident of Manchester for the past 39 years.
During the Vietnam War
, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps
from 1965 to 1969. He was awarded a Purple Heart
for his sacrifices during the war.
Mr. Mariscal worked at Harcros Chemical Co. for 34 years before he retired.
He was a member of the Teamsters. Anthony loved spending time with his grandchildren and going to the beach. He was an avid New England sports fan. He will be remembered as a good man who was a kid at heart.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sheila (Lavigne) Mariscal of Manchester; two daughters, Stacy Mariscal of Manchester and Tara Philbrook of Manchester; three granddaughters, Emily, Elizabeth and Ella Philbrook; his sister, Ann Barr and her husband Randall, of Huntington, Calif.; two sisters in-law, Linda Johnston and Maureen Lavigne, both of Manchester, and his niece, Jennifer Johnston.
services: Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. His funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at noon. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford. The Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.
