Antonio Roberge

MANCHESTER - Antonio "Tony" Roberge was born in Manchester, the son of Francis Xavier and Eva (Jacob) Roberge.

He was educated in the local parochial school system and earned a certificate from New Hampshire College of Business and Accounting.

During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army.

Prior to retirement, he worked for 20 years at Leblanc's Hardware in Manchester. Previously, he worked as an accountant for Alltex, formerly Standard Uniform. He also had worked in the local area as a real estate broker.

Tony was a devout Catholic who along with his wife volunteered tirelessly for St. Anthony of Padua Parish. He was an avid reader and puzzle solver, and in his earlier years also enjoyed playing golf. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his time spent with family.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Marie Ann (Roberge) Mears, in 2007.

Family members include his wife of 59 years, Jeanne (Binette) Roberge of Manchester; two sons, Marc Roberge of Manchester, Luc Roberge and partner Rickey Shepard Jr. of Manchester; his son-in-law, David Mears of Manchester; his grandchildren, Michael Mears and Brooke Mears, both of Manchester; his sister Helen Guillemette of Las Vegas Nev.; and cousins, nephews and nieces.


SERVICES: Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, will be Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Belmont Street. Committal prayers will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
