JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Cleopatra "Pat" Arnoutis, 92, passed away on Dec. 29, 2013, in Jacksonville.
She was born May 29, 1921, in Nashua, N.H., to Peter and Zoe (Gakis) Stylianos.
She was one of seven children who have all preceded her in death. She graduated from Nashua High School and then attended nursing school at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Pat married James M. Arnoutis on Oct. 31, 1948, in Nashua, N.H., and they were married almost 50 years. Pat worked as a surgical nurse for Dr. McGahee and Dr. Foley and later went to work at the Bank of New Hampshire as the executive assistant to the branch manager.
She served as the choir director and chanter at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Manchester, N.H. Pat was a member of the Anagenessis Ladies Society. She also sang with the Manchester Choral Society. Pat enjoyed and was an avid golfer and was a member of the Manchester Country Club and the N.H. Women's Golf Association. Pat moved to Jacksonville in 2000 to be closer to her daughter and grandsons. While in Jacksonville, she was in the choir at St. John Divine Greek Orthodox Church for many years.
She will be missed dearly by her loving daughter, Nina Arnoutis Appleby (Herb); her grandsons, James Raymond Appleby and John Peter Appleby; as well as many nieces and nephews.
services: Calling hours will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 650 Hanover St., Manchester. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the cathedral.
