Clifford P. Grover

KINGSTON - Clifford P. Grover, 64, died Feb. 11, 2013, in Exeter Hospital, following a period of declining health, with his family and loved ones by his side.

Cliff was born on Jan. 25, 1949, to Arthur and Betty (Rindone) Grover. He was a long time resident of Derry and proudly belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1617 in Derry where he served as past senior vice commander and past surgeon district No. 7. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1975 and was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star medal. His hobbies include gardening, woodworking and masonry. Cliff's infectious smile, laughter and happiness will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by a sister, Crystal Grover of Worcester, Mass., and four brothers: Arthur Grover Jr. and wife, Marie of Salem, Richard Grover and wife, Wanda of North Port, Fla., Steven Grover of Merrimack, Dennis Grover and wife, Jayne of Colorado Springs, Colo. He also leaves behind his fiance, friend and companion Pamela Check of Kingston; as well as many nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 19, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 11 a.m. in the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, 110 DW Highway, Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, P.O. Box 626, Concord, 03302-0626.
