HOOKSETT - Cynthia F. Blixt, 60, of Hooksett, died February 24, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a period of declining health.
Born in Manchester on November 15, 1952, she was the daughter of Calvin and Joan (Mullavey) Fox.
She graduated from Immaculata High School, Class of 1970. She earned a bachelor of arts degree from Plymouth State College in 1974.
A teacher in the Manchester District for thirty six years, Cynthia taught second grade at Webster Elementary School for most of her career.
She was a longtime communicant of Saint Catherine of Siena Church.
A loving and devoted wife and mother her family was the center of her life. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and vacationing in Florida. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Family members include her husband of thirty-eight years, Robert R. Blixt of Hooksett; her daughter, Megan Blixt and her fiance, Ryan Flood, of Brookline, MA.; two sons, Matthew Blixt of Hooksett and Joshua Blixt of Boston, MA.; four sisters, Jennifer Pedley and her husband, Robert, of Windham, Carolyn Elias of Hooksett, Judith Duford and her husband, Randy, of Goffstown, and Casey Pepin and her husband, Mark, of Auburn; her brother, Jonathan Fox and his wife, Ann, of Rye; many nieces and nephews; one aunt; a brother-in-law, Raymond Blixt, FSC; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Haley; and many dear friends.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union St., corner of Concord Street, Manchester.
The funeral will be held Wednesday followed by a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Catherine of Siena Church, Manchester.
Burial will take place in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Webster Elementary School, 2519 Elm St., Manchester, 03104.
