CONCORD -- Edward Hale Anderson Sr., 77, died peacefully June 18, 2009, at home.
He was born May 15, 1932, to Herbert Anderson and Jennie (Webster) Madsen.
He was in real estate for many years and after retirement he lived in Florida in the winter and in Concord in the summer. He traveled to Puerto Rico for Air Force conventions and enjoyed visiting relatives and friends all over the country.
He was a retiree of the U.S. Air Force.
He was predeceased by both of his parents; a son, Eddie H. Anderson Jr., in 1997; his daughter, Jane B. Austin; and his grandson, Chuck E. Novak, both in 2001.
IN HIS LIFE: He is survived by a daughter, Joan Faust, and her husband, Val; a son, Bruce Goodwin, and his wife, Tina; 10 grandchildren, Ed Anderson III, Jennie Anderson, John Anderson, Nathan Anderson and Christian Anderson, all of Raleigh, N.C., Eric Faust and his wife, Stephanie, of Dracut, Mass., Val Faust IV of Concord, Tuesday Wohlgemuths and her husband, Kurt, of Gilbert, Ariz., Lyzza Jane Goodwin and Matthew Colgan of Concord; one great-grandson, Draven Lee Wohlgemuths of Gilbert, Ariz; one sister, Joy Berry, and her husband, Wayne, of Utah; many nieces and nephews; and a close friend, Rilla Whiteneck.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Concord.
A memorial service is Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at noon at the N.H. State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
