Brentwood - Ethel May "Dolly" (Beauchamp) Lyford, 83, died peacefully on Feb. 18, 2013, at Langdon Place of Exeter, where she lived for the last two years.
She was born in Reading, Mass., on March 25, 1929, daughter of the late Roland N. and Nellie Mary (Surette) Beauchamp.
Dolly grew up in Reading, Mass., and resided there for several years before moving to Brentwood and Epping.
While living in Reading, Mass., she and her late husband, Harry F. Evans, were owners and operators of a historic home called Sailor Tom's Boathouse. After moving to Brentwood, she and Harry were owners of D&H Florists on Route 125 in Brentwood. She was a longtime active member of the Brentwood Baptist Church.
For the last 10 years, she was married to Lawrence Lyford and resided on Creamery Brook Farm in Brentwood.
She is predeceased by both husbands and her late sister, Dorothy App of Woburn, Mass. Dolly is survived by two nephews and a niece, George and wife Linda LaFave of Tewksbury, Mass., Edward App of Woburn, Mass., and Linda and husband Kenneth Sugarman of Georgia; her great-nieces, Christine Tobin, Karen Sweeney and Dawna Willliamson; and two great-nephews, Zachary and Leighton App; there are also seven great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
services: There will be calling hours on Sunday, Feb. 24, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant St., Epping.
A funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 25, at 11 a.m. at Brentwood Baptist Church, on the corner of North Road and Route 125 in Brentwood. Pastor John Hastings will be officiating.
A reception will follow at the church. Spring burial will be in the Brentwood Cemetery.
