LINCOLN - Laurence Edward Dunker, 63, of Lincoln, formerly of Manchester, died March 26, 2013, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in South Boston on April 18, 1949, the son of Frederick and Marie (Lane) Dunker. He earned his bachelor's degree from Northeastern University.
Prior to retirement in 2003, Laurence had worked as a credit manager for the Gillette Corporation in Boston for many years.
He was an accomplished artist and singer who volunteered much of his time to support both St. Catherine and St. Marie Parish. He will be remembered as a man of deep faith who lived a life devoted to his Catholic principles. Above all else, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who cherished time spent with family.
Family members include his wife of 40 years, Mary (Kos) Dunker of Lincoln; two sons, Michael Dunker and his wife Jessica Barry of Manchester, Stephen Dunker and wife Megan Beauregard of Bedford; five grandchildren; his sisters, Carol Case and Christine McCafferty, both of New Jersey; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
services: Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester, will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Marie Church, Notre Dame Avenue. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
