Louis V. Hebert

PETERBOROUGH - Louis V. Hebert, 60, of Peterboroughdied Feb. 22, 2014, after a long and courageous battle with multiple sclerosis.Louis was born in England on June 12, 1953, son of Edmond and Sybil (Collins) Hebert Jr. He was a 1971 graduate of Con-Val Regional High School in Peterborough. He earned a BS in business administration at Hawthorne College in Antrim.Louis served in the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg, N.C. After his honorable discharge in 1982, he was a self-employed contractor in Durham, N.C., before moving to Antrim.Louis was an avid NASCAR and New York Yankees fan and enjoyed cooking, card games and travelling.In addition to his parents, Louis is survived by his brothers; Edmond J. Hebert of Antrim, Allen G. Hebert of Portland, Maine, and Bryan W. Hebert and his wife Marta of Antrim; a niece, a nephew, and a large extended family.

SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 8, at 10 a.m. in the chapel at Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River Street, (Route 202) Jaffrey, 03452. Rev. Msgr. Gerald R. Belanger, Pastor of the Divine Mercy Parish will officiate. Full military honors will follow the service. Calling hours will continue from the time the services conclude until noon at the funeral home.The family wishes to thank all of the caregivers at the Pheasantwood Care and Rehabilitation Center for their care through Louis's illness, and ask that memorial contributions be made their Activities Fund, at 50 Pheasant Road, Peterborough, 03458, or to the Greater New England Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O.
