Louise E. Griffin

MANCHESTER - Louise E. Griffin, 88, of Riverfront Drive passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at Bedford Hills Nursing Home in Bedford.

Born on Feb. 1, 1926, in Berlin, she was the daughter of Sylvain and Nellie (Hinds) Wedge.

A longtime resident of Berlin, Louise was a homemaker and lived in Manchester for the past 20 years.

She was a communicant of St. Kieran's Church now Good Shepherd Parish and was a member of the St. Kieran's Altar Guild. She was a past-president and member of the Berlin VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a 4-H leader.

Her pasttimes included bowling and making dolls and doll clothes, which she sold at craft fairs.

She was predeceased by her husband Roland Griffin (1991), brothers James and Leonard Wedge, and a sister Katherine Watkins.

Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Michael (Peggy) Drago of Concord, Mrs. John (Kristie) Melo of Londonderry and Mrs. Joseph (Joanne) Rosselli of Pelham, a son James Griffin and his wife Martha of Winchester, Va.; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a sister Mary Jane Lambert of Fairfax, Va., and several nieces and nephews.


SERVICES: Calling hours will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday Feb 4, at at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High St., Berlin.

A funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday, Feb. 5, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Berlin.
