Maureen L. Schneider

REEDSPORT, Ore. - Maureen L. "Moe" (Gregoire) Schneider, 64, of Reedsport, died on Nov. 4, 2012, after bravely facing lung cancer.

She was born in Manchester, N.H., the daughter of Maurice and Irene (Richard) Gregoire on Aug. 21, 1948.

Maureen worked for Myrna and Klev-Bro Shoe Co. for years; co-owned Carvel in Concord, N.H., and the Salty Seagull motel in the tourist town of Reedsport, with her husband. After retiring, Maureen became a dedicated member of the Lions Club for six years, selflessly giving her time and talents to help the community. Maureen had a passion for cooking, loved her family, the ocean, and life, making the most of every moment.

Family members include her loving husband of 13 years, John J. Schneider Jr. of Reedsport; son, Kevin Blanchette and wife Kari (Levesque) Blanchette, of Manchester, N.H.; daughter, Michelle (Blanchette) Taylor and husband Scott Taylor, of Lunenburg, Mass.; grandchildren, Harrison and Leanne Taylor; siblings, Joanne Valley, Richard Gregoire, Linda Robbins and Denise Roy; and several nieces and nephews. A private memorial will be held by the family.
