Thomas E. Barrett

CONCORD -- Thomas E. Barrett, 65, of Brandy Lane, died April 13, 2011 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Concord, son of the late Chester and Lydia (LeBrecque) Barrett.

He attended St. Peters, and Bishop Brady High School. He retired from Graphic Packaging after 41 years as a printing supervisor.

He was a devoted family man who loved spending his time with his children and grandchildren. He took great pride in his home and yard. His quick wit and broad smile enlightened everyone he encountered, and he will be missed by all.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 47 years, Linda (Prescott) Barrett of Concord; three sons, Thomas M. Barrett of Concord, Rick Barrett of Contoocook, and Jason Barrett of Concord; three brothers, Chester Barrett of Florida, Daniel Barrett of Contoocook, and Michael Barrett of Portsmouth; six sisters, Mary Poisson of Portsmouth, Arlene Thibeault of Loudon, Elaine Nichols of Concord, Lorna Barrett of Concord, Marion Stanley of North Carolina, and his twin sister, Kathleen Mihachik; many nieces and nephews.

IN HIS LIFE: Family members also include daughters-in-law Tammy Barrett of Concord, Laura Barrett of Contoocook, and Megan Barrett of Concord; nine grandchildren, Nicholas, Dillon, Tyler, Brandon, Avery, Dalton, Caroline, Mallory, and Ryan Lee; and a granddaughter on the way, Lydia Marie. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Lorraine Carroll; brothers William and Ronald Barrett; and his endearing mother-in-law, Ernestine Prescott.

SERVICES: Calling hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord. The funeral is Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the Waters Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Concord. Memorial donations may be made to Payson Center, 250 Pleasant St., Concord 03301.
