Virginia M. Baker

MANCHESTER -- Virginia M. Baker, 87, died Aug. 9, 2008, at Hackett Hill Nursing Center following a brief illness.

She was born in Penacook, Oct. 1, 1920, to Frederick and Florida (Dumenal) Rheaume.

She was raised in Penacook and had resided in Manchester most of her life. She had been a resident of Myrtle Manor for the past two years.

In her younger years, she was a nurse's aide at Concord Hospital and later at Manchester Visiting Nurses Association.

She was a former communicant of Immaculate Conception parish in Penacook.

A devoted homemaker, she will be cherished by her family as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Family members include two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Leilani) Cowette of Manchester, and Mrs. Roger (Marlene) Ouellette of Naples, Fla.; two sons, Richard Baker and Robert Baker, both of Manchester; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur Rheaume and Albert Rheaume, both of Concord; and two nephews.

SERVICES: There are no calling hours. The funeral will be held Thursday at 8:15 a.m. from McHugh Funeral Home, 483 Beech St, corner of Hanover St., Manchester, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 575 Candia Road, Manchester. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Penacook.
